The truth is
a long story about hypocrisy
the truth is
thousands upon thousands of years in the making
the truth is disguised
so we all eat these lies
and I ask myself, "what are we thinking"?
Truth heals these wounds
(but sometimes death is the compromise)
the truth tells a story
that most will deny

not everyone survives.

The dusty shadow left on the wall where Jake’s Slayer poster had been was as good as anything to stare at while Julia waited.
