What's up everyone?

After the first Culture Control event this saturday I will start planning the next show.

Wanted to see what you all might have in mind for it.

Whether it's a theme, a specific artist, a venue...whatever..post your thoughts.

The only way to change the creative scene here is to take ownership of it as a group...not going to work with a bunch of individual efforts imo.

So let's get to work.

where would I be able to find the application form the next culture control? i'd love to partcipate. is it just for the performing arts or can visual artists take part? -kaori

it is a collective art exhibition with music acts all day. No application, just need to e-mail me some examples of your work to see if it fits or upload it to your profile here.

I might be interested as well. As both a photographer and a musician. Depends on the time and the venue of course.

I'm defiantly down with this.

At the moment, I'm thinking a follow up show at Paper Tiger would be good. Anyone know of any other venues that are looking to do shows?

Ha, I was just there this afternoon. Seems like a good venue, we just need to pull some more attention in that direction.

I'm doing my best, help with promotion always helps though.

I still haven't ventured to Paper Tiger, I hear it's a pretty cool spot though.

I'd say keep working until you feel more confident in your final product. There is no point in taking something you aren't proud of to a gallery. There are a lot of ways to improve your work. Of course the main way is to practice. But here are so…

I'd say try the transfer method and see if you like it. And if you don't go for showing side by side.

You know the building - all red brick and glass panes on the east side of 1-5 at Fort Vancouver. Look here to refresh your memory: http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/photo785724.htm Now imagine if it was a public center for the arts. What do you see…
