I just email Chris about this event, and I'm sure I'll have some more info on it soon, but if not, do you have any more details about it? Like what days of the week, and such...

Thanks Anni!

Does this event have a preferred genre or is it open to everyone?

I believe we'll be starting it again in may...not totally sure....all genres are welcome of course.

Actually they'll be seeking accoustic or lightly amplified acts. The music booth is in the front of the fair so loudness will be a factor. The booth is 10x10 so there's definately a size limit to work within. There will be power for a small amp and mic if needed. We're currently working out the contact info and website for the year so check back in another month or so.

How does a free jazz jam session sound? Would it be cool to have a trio do a bit of bebop and avant garde styled jazz?

It depends on the volume, during the fair we mostly want stuff that won't compete with the vendors being able to talk to people in their booths. I'm not saying no, just saying. However there has been some talk about music in the space after 9 when the fair winds up, so that might be more of an option.

shoot me an email at: craftinthevillage@gmail.com
and we can talk more about it.

Chris

If there is a sustainable plan to keep it open and going, I'd be interested.

I'd say keep working until you feel more confident in your final product. There is no point in taking something you aren't proud of to a gallery. There are a lot of ways to improve your work. Of course the main way is to practice. But here are so…

I'd say try the transfer method and see if you like it. And if you don't go for showing side by side.

You know the building - all red brick and glass panes on the east side of 1-5 at Fort Vancouver. Look here to refresh your memory: http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/photo785724.htm Now imagine if it was a public center for the arts. What do you see…
